Back with a bang!
Why wait until Earth Day to save our planet? How about we start a month early? When every day is earth day, every day is a happier day!
Wake up and smell the compost, people! Today is the day to remember our Mother Earth, because I said so. Our Earth needs help – you can start by reducing, reusing, recycling, AND replenishing. Not only reduce your waste output, but go out and save the world too! Plant a tree. Pick up litter. Scold your friend when he or she throws something away that can be recycled. Give a little love to our planet ♥ Challenge – this week, try to accumulate more recycling than trash. A little goes a long way~
Here’s a little essay I wrote about “the four R’s”:
Every second, around 4 to 5 babies are born. Our human population is growing such that we have topped 7 billion members of our species. Sometimes, this makes us feel invincible; we feel like we own the world. Sadly, Mother Earth is crying. It is time that we realize how much we need to protect the Earth, and how much we can make a big difference just by reducing our environmental footprint, reusing things before throwing them away, and recycling as much waste as we can.
Although it comes last in the “three r’s”, recycling is probably the most important of the three. Every week, come garbage-pick-up-day, I feel proud to know that I am part of a family that has about 5 times as much recycling output as waste output. Our weekly trash amounts to a small bag, generally less than a pound. It is amazing once you find out how much material that we humans waste, when we could actually recycle or compost it. And, we benefit from this – our organic garden loves and thrives on the fresh homegrown dirt from our compost bin. By getting into the habit of recycling at home, I have inspired many of my friends to do the same. It is now almost a challenge for them; they compete against me to see if their recycling-to-garbage ratio is larger than mine!
Reduce and reuse go hand in hand in my household. I reduce the amount of water, electricity, and fuel I use everyday, and urge my family and friends to do the same. Taking shorter showers, using eco-friendly toilets, using natural light in place of artificial light, and planning driving trips in the most efficient manner are just a few of the activities I do to reduce my eco-footprint. Reuse goes hand in hand with this since even after we reduce our footprint, we still reuse the few products that we buy that people would consider as waste. Whether it is reusing dishwater to water the plants, giving new life to paper by always using the other side, or wearing clothes for a couple days if they’re not dirty, reuse is an important ideal in my household.
Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle are three of the axioms of my life. However, I always add one more to this grouping – “Replenish”. The Earth is undergoing severe stress right now due to the huge amount of waste output and carbon emissions of the human race. We are growing in population every day, so our waste output increases every day. For me, however, this growth in population is a potential for a growth in the number of people who care about the healing and the clean-up that our Mother Earth so requires right now. By picking up litter outside, planting trees, eating organic foods, and not using pesticides on our lawn, my family and I are contributing to the “replenishment” of the Earth. And, by spreading the message to everyone I meet, I will turn this global crisis into a global celebration.

Make every action count!

As you can see, I haven’t posted on my blog in a long time. But that doesn’t mean that I haven’t had much special to talk about. My life currently has been teeming with spiritual awakenings – especially on the special December 21st 2010 Eclipse day. I don’t think I can count the amount of times I have thought “I should post this on my blog!”. But somehow, I don’t feel the calling to write about it, to share it with you all. Maybe it has to do with the fact that it is on the computer- my online schooling has forced me to spend half my days on the computer. So, I don’t feel like rushing to the computer again just to type up a blog post. Somehow, the writings in my journal have increased, and my blog posts decreased.
So, I feel like I should tell you all this – I won’t be writing anything on here for a while – unless I feel a calling to do so. I want to spend more time fulfilling my priorities, and less time on the computer. Now isn’t the right time for the 5th dimensional teen – when it is, you will be the first to know. For now, it is do-da-da-go-hv-i, or “Until Next Time” in Cherokee. Because in the real world, there is no Goodbye.
Remember, have fun~ Don’t worry, be happy!

Coffee and me are not friends. Well, I’ve never actually liked coffee, but Sunday, a trip to Caribou Coffee with my family called for a new experience. I always drink the Caramel Apple Blast, in the winter – a hot drink, and in the summer – an Apple Blast Cooler. But I am one who likes to “mix it up” a bit (pun intended), and so I decided to drink a Wild Vanilla Mocha – with milk chocolate. Bad choice. The double caffeine whammy – Coffee and Chocolate – made for an over-sweet drink and a bitter evening on the side.
I was fine all through the historical comedy we watched (The Importance of Being Earnest). But once I was in bed, I had the most terrifying experience I think I’ve ever had in my life.
My body, mind, and spirit got disconnected somehow. My body was so tired, but the caffeine “disconnected” my mind and so my mind didn’t think I was sleepy. My whole body was jittering, muscles tensed, and spasms everywhere. I felt like the room was closing in on me – the ceiling, walls, and floor were all compressing on me. I used to be afraid of the dark as a little child, but have since lost that fear. But Sunday, I was again afraid of the dark. I was literally terrified that something was going to jump out at me and kill me. Again, my body was twitching all over, and I couldn’t even close my eyes in fear of the dark, enclosing walls. I tried deeply breathing, but it seemed to make the muscle spasms worse. But the absolute worst thing was the emptiness. The air around me was empty – and cold. I usually feel warm and surrounded by my angels and spirit guides, but on Sunday, I felt so…very…alone.
I have a small doll in the figure of my spiritual master (as gifted to me by my Godmother when I was young). My only solace was to grip that doll tightly in my hands and pray. I prayed to God, to my angels. to take this experience away. To take the fear away. To end this horrible nightmare. I played some calming, relaxing music, and that helped to remove the fear of the silence and empty darkness. After a while, the spasms slowed, the fear dissipated, and I became relaxed.
Then the second wave came, the same thing, but a little less. After this, it faded again, came back, but less, and faded again. It did this over and over until the fear and loneliness in me was non-existent.
It seems like coffee and Indigo Children (or whatever I am) just don’t go together. But it helps me to survive in this world when I know I have somebody to fall back on. In this case, it is my spiritual master, but the doll helps me to put his ethereal form into a physical entity. If you readers would like, I can post a picture of us!
Comment if you have had an interesting experience with caffeine! I’d like to know that I’m not the only one whose body reacted so violently
If you ever invite me to your house, just remember – I don’t drink coffee. I prefer apple juice.
INSTEAD…

Many people I know decided to spend this significant day with their friends or family, celebrating the “coincidental” date of 10/10/10. Yesterday, for me, was a bit different than the common American’s Sunday. I really enjoyed my little mini-shift.
The morning started off with an easy rise, the sun streaming through the windows and the sound of a harp playing in my room. Well, I may have imagined the harp, but the sun was definitely welcome, a warm addition to an overall chilly week. In fact, I woke up at 10:08 AM, and lied in bed until the “Awesome Time”, 10:10 am, which is when I jumped out of my bed and celebrated with my parents for about 30 seconds
The “mini-shift in our cyclic convergence pattern”, as related to me by my guides, had begun!
We held a group meditation in our house at 11 AM. Thankfully, the guests didn’t mind sitting outside on the dewy grass, and we got to enjoy the morning Sun’s rays and the Vitamin B12 soaking through the grass onto our bare feet. The meditation was supremely powerful – included in the group were so many interesting people – wise ones, Indigos, psychics, and many spiritually-oriented people of all backgrounds. We had Caucasians, African-Americans, Orientals, Russians, an Italian, a Persian, a Brazilian, and several other races and cultures. I really felt like this was one of the “guilds of ancient Atlantis” reconvening in my own backyard! How exciting!
We affirmed the shifting of the earth, and the introduction of unconditional love in our society. The entire meditation was a blast (and I could have sworn I saw millions of angel and fairy lights sparkling above us!)
Afterwards, the entire group moved on to the Loving Hut, a vegan restaurant. 10.10.10 was the date of their fabulous monthly buffet for October, in celebration of Vegetarian Awareness Month. We munched on some delightful dishes, desserts, and sipped some Lemongrass Tea. It was by far the BEST restaurant lunch I’ve had in a long time, and it was VEGAN! What a restaurant – run by spiritual people, created to bring awareness to people about the environment and its animals. With some great discussion about UFO’s, angels, and the shift, I really enjoyed the lunch more than ever. The best part was when I had an epiphany: 101010 in binary is 2+8+32= 42!! And 42, is the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything! This confirmed my belief in something special occurring on 10/10/10. Maybe Douglas Adams had something going, after all, and he didn’t even know it?!
As most people trickled away to spend their Sunday evening elsewhere, a few close friends stayed back and we made our way back to our house. On our way back, we realized what a nice day it was, and decided to spend some time at the river. Off we went, equipped with some “Tea and Biscuits” and a towel and appropriate clothes for me, because I’d be romping around in the 50 degree water pretty soon
The river was EPICLY peaceful! And while my parents and their friends sat on a picnic blanket and enjoyed their hot tea, I was running through the frigid water, where I always long to be. Somehow, after a while, I don’t feel the cold anymore, I actually find the water warming. I feel like it is my home, the river, somewhere I can go to rejuvenate! So I tried to make my way to the middle of the river, traversing the deep spots and exceedingly fast rapids. Maneuvering a series of tricky rocks and rapids, I finally found a nice rock to lay down on. It felt like a bed, in the sun, with the water lapping around and cooling off my hands and legs. I sincerely felt like I was in paradise.
Making my way back to the shore was a bit trickier, working against the current of the river. Unfortunately, I made one small step, and I was completely under the river’s power. It whisked me down the rapids, bringing me under a couple times, and pulling me back to where I started. I had no more time to go back around the rapids to get to the shore again, and had to swim back through the murky depths
Once I got to the shore and dried off, I was glad to be in the sunshine again. I was freezing!
But I equate it to a dog ‘s kiss – many people don’t like dogs to lick them, but that is the way for the dog to show you love. Similarly, many people don’t enjoy being out of control in a rushing river, gulping down dirty water, and trying to keep afloat, but that was the river’s way of showing me love. She was “kissing” me! The most interesting thing is that I didn’t feel scared at any moment during the whole ordeal. I thought it was exciting being whisked down the river! When a dog licks you, you’re not afraid that it will eat you, and I wasn’t afraid that I would drown. I felt “cradled”.
Anyway, I was glad to be home and take a shower. I reflected on my day as the water cascaded over me – my 10/10/10 was really perfect! I got to meditate, be with my favorite people (Indigo Children), have satsang (company of truth) with good friends, eat a SPECTACULAR vegan buffet, and journey to my favorite place in nature, the river.
I really feel like I made my “mini-shift” a special one. Feel free to comment below on how you spent your 10.10.10

I’ve been reading quite a few spiritual books (a.k.a. “Self-Help/Inspirational books”) lately, and I just want to share all the cool stuff with all of you! It’s so exciting when you come across something old – not something new, just something that you’ve known for all time but it is just suddenly reawakening within you. Oh, the power of words! In the “Bharat’s Bookshelf” posts, I’ll share with you something “old” that I thought was awesome. Hopefully, you can share in my joy and awe as well!
I just finished reading Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda. Oh how wonderful a read! This is a must-read for ANY spiritual seeker. This books opens one’s eyes to so many possibilities. The wordiness of the book may become a little heavy at times, but once passed over, you’ll be glad you read all the way through.
Of course, I don’t have the time to share EVERYTHING in the book, but there was a single quote by the Indian saint Kabir that really struck me. I’ll reprint it here:
“Path presuposses distance;
If He be near, no path needest thou at all.
Verily it maketh me smile
To hear of a fish in water athirst!”
Wow. That is Amazing. In other words, Kabir was saying that God is in all, of all, everything, everyone. There is no need of a long, winding path of knowledge-retrieval, spiritual practice, and inner development in order to reach the Source. The path is a circular one. Taking it, we realize in the end that we are right back to where we had started! We realize we were looking for God in all the wrong places. We need to look within, not without! How can we thirst for God if we are God, He is all around us, in us, he composes the very atoms and particles that do not even exist without the divine will. But we mustn’t place that on a pedestal – something to worship, to fear the judging One. We must climb that ladder of our mind, and reach inward!
God is here, now! Wake up!
Thank you to Paramahansa Yogananda, Kabir, and Lightstorm for inspiration on this blog post.

I came across a conundrum the other day. That day, I was in a “sacred space” somehow, and I felt very uplifted. I was talking to my higher self (conscience) and was listening to its messages. I hadn’t eaten breakfast that day, I just wasn’t hungry. It was amazing, I felt fed by a higher power!
That day, my family and I were going to go shopping at a Chinese Supermarket. We needed to buy some materials for the Feng Shui workshop my mom is conducting this Sunday (see www.soul2souleducare.com for more details). I had a feeling, a “hunch”, or you could say a “psychic message” that the store would be closed, and we would have driven all the way out there for no reason. My higher self was telling me “Don’t go, you’ll be wasting your time there!” But there was nothing I could do except tell my parents. My mom told me that it didn’t matter if the store was closed, there was another large Chinese Supermarket near there that we could buy the same things at. That was that. We went anyway.
When we got there, there were absolutely no cars in the parking lot. It was closed down. Duh! My higher self knew this already. But my mom said, “It’s ok, let’s just go to the other Chinese store.” My higher self still told me “You’re wasting your time!” and laughed when I didn’t listen. When we got to the other Chinese store, it too was closed down. This was incredible to us, we just couldn’t understand it. I could almost hear my higher self giggling watching our “wild goose chase”.
Anyway, the trip turned out ok because we got to eat at a very nice Chinese restaurant.
Here’s where my conundrum comes in. In quantum physics, we learn that the world is a sea of endless possibilities, and we choose one possibility to experience. We “visualize” the outcomes. Therefore, our mind creates our reality, either subconsciously or consciously.
So I was confused. Was I really listening to my higher self? Or was my mind just consciously creating my day? If I had “heard” something different from my higher self, would the store have been open? Or was it destined to be like that, and like that only?
We always hear the phrase, “It was meant to be.” Was there a specific reason why this happened? In another universe, is there no higher self? Is there no mind?
I could go on asking these questions until my brain explodes…
So let me ask you, what do you think happened? Did I recieve Psychic Messages from a divine source, or did my mind concoct the “voice” so that I could visualize the store being closed?
Or is it all a giant illusion…
Love
Bharat

Tags: 2012, 5th dimension, answers, dimension, earth, God, life, maya, Mayan calendar, metaphysics, question, questions, spiritual teen, spirituality, teenager
So what’s all this hype about the end of the world? Does 2012 ring a bell? How about the “End of the Mayan Calendar”? It’s funny how the people of the world grasp on to a single belief and it starts to ring true, in real life. The fear factor has GROWN, almost everyone I talk to about 2012 gets freaked and doesn’t want to talk about it. They want to live their life, not be obliterated in two years.
Let me ask you a question. This only applies to you if you believe in God. Well, if you don’t believe in God, then you shouldn’t be reading this blog! You’ll probably just get angry. So, my question is: If God created this beautiful creation, full of beautiful creatures, and intricate workings of bodies, nature, science, if God created all of this awesomeness, do you think he’d (or she’d, but I’ll just say God is a he, for simplicity) just destroy it in one fell swoop? Do you think he’d end thunderstorms, a sunny day at the beach, a beautiful hike up the mountain, rainbows? Do you think he’d destroy a babies first laugh, a toddler’s first walk across the room, a teenager’s first kiss? All these things are too beautiful…too…there’s no word to describe how important and beautiful this creation is. It simply cannot be destroyed, if there is a God. And believe me, there is definitely a God.
Well, ok, the world can’t end because it would be too much of a waste. But the world definitely looks like it’s gonna end, all this chaos with wars, poverty, suffering, global warming, peak oil, population booms…if we keep goin’ the way we’re goin’ we won’t be goin’ much longer! We will hit a critical mass, our atmosphere will be unbreathable, we will destroy each other out of fear with WMDs, we will run out of fossil fuels which are at the foundation of our economy and social structure, and many more things will happen. We are already seeing Mother Earth retaliating, cleansing herself by using natural disasters. We see at least one major catastrophe every month now! January – 7.0 Haiti Earthquake. February – 8.8 Earthquake in Chile, one of the largest earthquakes ever. March – Turkey Quake – 6.0. April – The Infamous Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill (not a natural disaster, but a disaster nonetheless). I’m not going to keep going, because I’m tired of researching. But you get the point. Mother Earth is trying to tell us something. Maybe she’s saying “Stop killing me!”
So it’s the end of the Mayan Calendar, and a bunch of other astronomical and astrological cycles. When you see the evidence, it’s kinda hard not to believe that something “important” will happen. It’s not necessarily the end of the world, though. That’s the problem. When somebody makes something into a movie, people think it’s real. I mean, seriously. Who really believes that the earth is just going to go “KABOOM” and pop out of existence, just because some ancient civilization’s calendar ended?! That’s really crazy.
Well, here’s my epiphany. The Mayans, also known as the “Maya” knew that something was going to happen on that day (December 21 2012), and they ended their calendar. The end of the Mayan calendar, is equal to “The end of Maya”. If you take this same phrase, “The end of Maya” and you interpret it slightly differently, it comes up with some amazing results. “Maya” (मय) in Sanskrit translates to “Illusion” in English. Therefore, the End of the Mayan Calendar should be interpreted as “The end of Illusion”! God created different races so that we could work together, not fight one another. I believe God wanted us to draw this parallel, using an ancient Indian wisdom to interpret an ancient Mexican civilization’s calendar. Believe it or not, the choice is yours.
The end of illusion, huh? Well what is illusion? This is an awesome question. When you discover the answer within yourself, tell me how amazing you feel. The “real” world is hidden beneath the veil of our government, our society, our economy, our homes, our families, everything. Haven’t you ever felt that there was something more? The more – this.is.it. We are living in an illusion, a maya, and we need to BREAK OUT of it. We know this world as external – like a computer. We do something, and it spawns an effect. I type on the keyboard, and letters show up on the computer. I punch somebody in the face, and they’ll punch back. But what would you think if I told you that it’s all in the mind? The typing, and the words on the computer? It’s hard to grasp, huh? Even I don’t understand it completely. But it’s there. Beyond this interface is something greater, and beyond that is something even greater.
That’s why R.E.M. sang “It’s the end of the world AS WE KNOW IT” Because the world is not coming to an end, it’s just that the veil of mystery will fall soon, and we will see the world as it truly is, a world of magic and wonder. No wonder they said “And I feel fine,”
I feel fine too. I feel great! I can’t wait ’til we realize that we are all one, we are the world, and we create our reality. When that happens, we’ll be able to fly, like birds without a care. Then I will know what it’s like to be a cloud

What’s it like to be a cloud?
Floating, shimmering upon the horizon.
Watching the chaos below.
Building up, letting go.
Waiting, for something we don’t know.
Buoyant, rising, falling, in the sky – how beautiful the Sun is.
Flying, floating, free.
And it rains.

Like the first baby being born, my first blog is a feat of amazement. I never thought I’d create a blog because I thought my life was too boring for anybody to be interested. (It obviously isn’t) But as my baby-blog gets its first look at the world, I am excited! This is going to be a WILD ride, people!
As the title of my blog suggests, this isn’t any normal blog about parenting, technology, school, life, etc. This blog transcends this physical world, and will be more ethereal – but will be tied down by some of my worldly ramblings. I’ve searched and searched the web for something like this, but I couldn’t find a single thing. I KNOW there are spiritual teens out there, but they’re just too shy to peek their heads into the internet world. Some teens hide behind the veil of secrecy – living their lives normally at school, with friends, etc. , but what they really want is something more, something REAL. They want to know what unconditional love is, who God is, why we are here, what’s going to happen to us. I wonder the same things sometimes. So here is a forum where I can share with the world my inner longings for something more, and my discoveries (when I uncover them).
A note on spirituality: I’m not talking about religion. I believe in lots of things, but a Judgmental God is not one of them. I’m talking about spirituality as rediscovering the higher self. So if you are trying to do the same thing, then you’re in the right place!
I will see you soon!
